Secret Spot In The Forest

This charming, adult treehouse built by Joel Allen is exactly why carpenters are so hot.  For several years, Joel secretly built his dream house in the woods near Whistler, British Columbia, Canada.  If you haven’t been, there are amazing, lush forests there ripe with trekking adventures.  With the help of his architect friends, Joel chose a serene locale and worked undercover constructing the egg shaped treehouse aka HemLoft Weekend Cabin.  Since he doesn’t own the land, he risks charges of squatting in a public forest or the possibility authorities will tear it down.  It’s clearly a labor of love and the loft compliments the environment quite nicely.
